The roof system

A roof is more than shingles

1 Ice & water barrier

Self-sealing protection at eaves and valleys, where ice dams and wind-driven rain cause leaks.

2 Synthetic underlayment

A second layer of defense covering the whole roof deck.

3 Starter strip

Seals the first row of shingles at the edges, where wind lifts them first.

4 Shingles

Good, better and best options to fit your home and budget.

5 Ventilation

Intake and ridge vents keep the attic cooler in summer and drier in winter, so the roof lasts longer.

6 Hip & ridge caps

Finished caps along the peaks for protection and a clean look.

Rubberized asphalt

Strong wind warranty

Recycled content

Each roof reuses about 5 tires and 3,200 plastic bags.

The details that matter

Stopping leaks where they start

Pipe flashing

The rubber boots around plumbing vents crack in the sun, often years before the shingles wear out. Water then runs inside walls and shows up later as ceiling stains.

That kind of slow leak is often treated as maintenance, so homeowners insurance usually won’t cover it.

Ask about silicone pipe flashing that holds up to UV for the life of the roof.

Ice dams and valleys

In an Indiana winter, melting snow refreezes at the roof edge and backs water up under the shingles.

We install a self-sealing ice & water barrier along every eave and valley. It seals around each nail, so water has nowhere to go.

Included on every RSR roof.

Gutters & gutter guards

New gutters come with a 2-year workmanship warranty. LeafBlaster PRO guards are backed by a 40-year warranty.
